On Saturday the 6th June 2026 in Kildare we’ll be holding a workshop focused on the use of technologies by regulatory Veterinarians.
The Racing Post reports a chorus of discontent and fear amongst trainers and the impact on the principle investors in the sport is hard to imagine especially as we’ve seen horses scratched by apps that went onto to prove their trainers opinions were more valuable eg. Jan Brueghel (IRE).
Highlights:
Workshop is provided by an expert who managed to turn around a last minute Jockey Club decision to scratch a Horse that went onto win at the Cheltenham Festival and will offer delegates the practical knowledge they need to pass pre-race checks. Workshop delegates will get the opportunity to:
> Get hands on with the apps being used to scratch horses, learn about who makes them and why racing authorities are so keen to adopt them
> Understand the new requirements are why they’re being introduced
> Learn about Tech you can use to prevent/avoid scratches and address the data imbalance between trainers & regulatory Veterinarians..
> Lessons from the tech bans that were implemented by. the JCSA at the 2026 Saudi Cup
> Racing with radioisotope injections
> The challenges data based scratches present to owners
> The best practice that owners and trainers should be asking from regulatory authorities
> Why caution is needed because it’s so easy to use Scratching stats to mislead
> How this all fits with Agenda 2030
> Discover inexpensive tech that can help owners and trainer
> On Derby Day we’ll discuss how Federico Tesio so wisely told us that ‘The Thoroughbred exists because its selection has depended, not on experts, technicians, or zoologists, but on a piece of wood: the winning post of the Epsom Derby” and how if we continue to allow regulators (who of course will refuse to subject themselves to the scrutiny of such AI’s eg. in making decisions that affect their careers) to delegate judgement of racehorses to Patented AI’s on iPhones the future of the thoroughbred will exist because of the ability to satisfy AI’s.
> Discuss things you’re working on and ask questions.
